This Loaded Avocado Hummus is a creamy, vibrant dip that blends the richness of avocado with classic hummus, then piles on bold toppings like crunchy veggies, herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil. It’s the ultimate shareable snack that’s as beautiful as it is satisfying.
- HUMMUS:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1 garlic clove roughly chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 ice cube
- 2-3 tablespoon water as needed for consistency
- TOPPINGS:
- Roasted Red Bell Peppers chopped
- Sliced Greek Kalamata Olives
- Pickled Red Onions
- Fresno Chili Peppers
- 1 tablespoon toasted pine nuts
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
- Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the avocado, chickpeas, Mezzetta Drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth, adding the ice cube and water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Spread the hummus onto a serving plate or bowl, making a well in the center. Top with Mezzetta Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Sliced Kalamata Olives, Pickled Red Onions, Fresno Chili Peppers, toasted pine nuts and pomegranate seeds.
- Finish with Mezzetta Drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Enjoy with warm pita, crackers, or crunchy veggies.
