This Loaded Avocado Hummus is a creamy, vibrant dip that blends the richness of avocado with classic hummus, then piles on bold toppings like crunchy veggies, herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil. It’s the ultimate shareable snack that’s as beautiful as it is satisfying. 

Ingredients

Makes 4-6 servings 1x 2x 4x
  • HUMMUS:
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 garlic clove roughly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ice cube
  • 2-3 tablespoon water as needed for consistency
  • TOPPINGS:
  • Roasted Red Bell Peppers chopped
  • Sliced Greek Kalamata Olives
  • Pickled Red Onions
  • Fresno Chili Peppers
  • 1 tablespoon toasted pine nuts
  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the avocado, chickpeas, Mezzetta Drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth, adding the ice cube and water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached. 
  2. Spread the hummus onto a serving plate or bowl, making a well in the center. Top with Mezzetta Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Sliced Kalamata Olives, Pickled Red Onions, Fresno Chili Peppers, toasted pine nuts and pomegranate seeds. 
  3. Finish with Mezzetta Drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkle with fresh parsley. 
  4. Enjoy with warm pita, crackers, or crunchy veggies.
