- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 4 bratwursts
- 1 (12 oz) lager beer
- 1 ½ cups assorted Mezzetta® peppers (we used Mezzetta® Mild Banana Pepper Rings, Mezzetta® Deli-Sliced Roasted Bell Pepper Strips and Mezzetta® Sliced Hot Cherry Peppers)
- 4 pretzel buns
- yellow mustard
In a large skillet, on medium-high heat, add olive oil to coat the pan.
Add sliced onions and cook, stirring frequently until soft and golden.
Add bratwurst and beer and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add the Mezzetta® peppers and cook 1 minute to heat through.
Prepare the sandwiches by topping each pretzel bun with 1 bratwurst, mustard and 1/4 of the onion and pepper mixture.
