Apple & Jalapeño Slaw

  • 3 Fuji apples, diced
  • 3/4 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/4 c. Mezzetta Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. Mezzetta Hot Jalapeñosdiced
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped fresh cilantro

Sauté the yellow onion with 1/8 cup olive oil for several minutes, until the onions begin to soften. Remove from the heat and place into a bowl.

Add the apples with 1/8 cup olive oil to the pan and sauté for 5 minutes, until softened but not mushy. Remove from the heat and add to the bowl with the onions.

Add the additional ingredients, stir to combine.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.

Serve chilled or room temp on top of the Grilled Pork Chops.
