Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Slice the rolls in half, and spoon 1/4 cup of pasta sauce onto the bottom of each roll, top with the mozzarella cheese and salami (if you are using meat in the sandwich).

Leave the sandwich open faced at this point, but place both the top and bottom onto a baking sheet and cook for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Remove them from the oven, top with the basil and mixed greens. Close the sandwiches and serve.

*Note: these sandwiches are also very good when cold, and make an excellent lunch time solution for school lunches.
